Frequently Asked Questions

How can I commission a painting?

Nice of you to ask! You can read about the process in this blog post.

How long does it take to create a custom artwork?

Depending on the size, medium (paint, charcoal) and complexity of the piece, this will take between 2-8 weeks. We can discuss this when we talk about your commission. Allow a few extra days for varnishing and framing.

Can my work also be framed?

All artworks for sale on this site are currently unframed unless otherwise noted. I can send the artwork directly to a third-party framer after your purchase. If that's something you're interested in, please contact me first so I can include the cost of framing in the purchase.

How can I pay?

Upon payment, you will receive a receipt and we will get to work preparing your new artwork for shipment.

If you want to pay in installments, we can discuss that. Fill in the contact form under Contact in the menu bar.

How will my new artwork be shipped?

Once payment is received I will contact you about your shipping and send the artwork as soon as possible. All artworks are shipped with track & trace service.

Due to lockdown restrictions, shipping days may vary. Shipping within Europe can take up to three weeks.

Shipping costs for international buyers are automatically calculated at checkout once you've entered the shipping country. I will also contact you after your purchase to inform you of an expected delivery date, however I cannot be day specific with international shipments but the shipping company should contact you to keep you informed of the progress. Please note that additional import taxes and duties may also apply to foreign buyers. Depending on their final destination, artwork purchased by foreign buyers can take up to four weeks to arrive.

Can I also pick up my artwork in The Hague?

Customers in the Netherlands can also pick up their artwork(s) for free at my studio in The Hague. You can simply click "collect artworks" at checkout and email me to arrange a time.

What about shipments outside the Netherlands?

For international buyers, import duties may apply upon entry of the artwork into your home country. All import duties are an additional cost. I assume no liability for the correct importation of artworks purchased on the platform - it is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that artworks are legally imported into their home country and that the correct duties are paid.
